THE WARRIOR PRINCESS COLLECTION BY SAMANTHA COLE LONDON

"WARRIOR PRINCESS" - this is the title of the new A/W 09 collection.

The foundation of this collections influences were drawn from the current social an economic climate that we are facing today...

This interpretation through my work repesented a darker more agressive collection with harder edges, structured layering and inspiration drawn from modern architecture not built from indulgence but reminiscent of medieval buildings; powerful, sobering and stark.

.....though this is reflected through my couture collection an not my diffusion which in itself is a contradition, however, still open to interpretation an preference..
.

In order to focus the collections direction inspiration was drawn from kate Beckinsale in "UNDERWORLD" and Tina Turner in "MADMAX" meets Jane Fonda in "BARBARELLA" with the essence of a futuristic setting....a combination of these fabulous leading ladies an what their characters represented in strength, determination, an independance without losing their femininity which is the point behind the collection......its a womans prerogative to show power, strength, courage an be aggressive if need be while retaining her femininity in times of hardship an the like.....it's her prerogative....

I couldnt have realised my thoughts an ideas on the overall look an feel for this collection without the support of some amazingly talented individuals who helped bring this to life.....
